CONTEXT

Project Context

Telerama.fr, a high-traffic cultural editorial site, suffered from poor load times on mobile, Core Web Vitals in the red and a direct impact on SEO and user engagement.

The legacy observability tooling could not anticipate editorial peaks (cinema, festivals, elections) and incidents were often detected by users themselves or via social media.

The challenge: technically redesign the site as mobile-first, structure a durable digital application maintenance practice and deploy continuous AIOps to anticipate and auto-remediate recurring incidents.

Strategic Objectives

(01)

Radical web performance

Reduce the load time of Telerama.fr by 45% and bring all Core Web Vitals above Google targets (LCP < 2.5s, INP < 200ms, CLS < 0.1).

(02)

Mobile-first UX

Redesign the user experience as mobile-first, where most of the traffic of the Télérama editorial site is concentrated, with a journey optimised for long-form reading and discovery.

(03)

Continuous AIOps

Set up AIOps monitoring with automatic anomaly detection, auto-remediation of recurring incidents and an availability SLA above 99.9%.

Solutions Delivered by Adservio

Adservio deployed a Performance + AMS team (SRE Lead, Performance Engineers, Frontend Architects, AIOps specialist) over 36 months.

(01)

Technical redesign

Complete frontend redesign in Next.js with edge rendering, image optimisation (AVIF/WebP), aggressive code-splitting, lazy-loading and multi-level CDN caching.

(02)

Web Vitals monitoring

Implementation of Real User Monitoring (RUM) collecting Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS, TTFB, FCP, TTI) on real user p75, with alerting on degradation.

(03)

AIOps & auto-remediation

AIOps platform with anomaly detection on performance metrics, automatic incident classification and automated remediation runbooks for recurring cases.

(04)

Daily AMS

Continuous application maintenance with a dedicated SRE team, 24/7 monitoring, a structured on-call plan and blameless postmortems on every significant incident.

(05)

Performance Engineering

Regular load tests, quarterly capacity planning, continuous optimisation of queries and the caching layer to absorb editorial peaks and viral campaigns.

Core Web Vitals above targets,
+10 K sessions/min monitored continuously.

Real User Monitoring on user p75, AIOps with anomaly detection and auto-remediation: performance is no longer an annual audit, it is a continuous quality gate.
